Happy New Year one and all... hope 1013 bring you lots of cherished memories with your little ones!

Well it has been a busy start to the year with lots of new babies joining baby massage at Falconwood and Bexley Village. Some returning Mum's too which is always so very nice! I am enjoying welcoming and getting to know the new faces in the class which is always really worthwhile when you see them enjoying being touched through the various strokes of the massage routine and Mum's really enjoying the quality time it brings.

I am expanding the classes out of Bexley and into Bromley, there will be a NEW baby massage class starting up in Chislehurst at the Methodist Church on Prince Imperial Road (BR7 5LX) on a Tuesday from 10 to 11 am from the 29th of January. So am currently busy leaflet dropping to get the word out. There is a lovely pre-school attached to the church and when I looked round it had a strong community feel to it with ample parking for all my new Mum's. If you or any of your friends are expecting or know of expectant Mum's that live in around the area like in Orpington, Petts Wood, Cudham, Bromley, Bickley etc it will be close enough for them to come along and try out, first class is FREE and they are under no obligation to start a course.

Yesterday I did a lovely 'Sing and Story' class with the toddlers at my local Children's Centre, the Oval, Sidcup and tommorow I will be doing a Baby Massage class there in the afternoon. So if you live in Sidcup and would like to come along to try it out contact them to book in. I will be back there again to do 'Sing and Story' on the 31st with the babies.

My family life is also as busy with a re-wire going on in my house and my daughter's 8th birthday fast approaching at the end of this month there is never a dull moment! However it has be said that this year my daughter wanted a day out instead of a party which suits me. She has chosen her best friend to go and see the new Tinkerbell film with followed by lunch out and then on her birthday there will be a family gathering here with all her cousins......lovely birthday weekend!

Hope all is well with you and your babies and dont forget you can find us on Facebook as Bexley Baby Massage and Sing and Story is you ever want to have a look to see what it happenning now!

Well a belated happy new year one and all. 2012 has started off very busy with lots of people joining my baby massage class at both Falconwood and Sidcup. Both classes are full and bustling. Lots of conversation about births, feeding and baby's sleep patterns over tea and biscuits which helps support Mum's in need of new ideas. I am pleased to say that I have a few returning Mum's too with their second babies which is so nice to see them again and meet the new addition. Coping with anothe child  is a hot topic too with these Mum's telling others how they do. Mainly being more organised with the second one fitting around the older one's activities. Having additional family help is always a bonus.

Fours years on from the post below and I am nearly a year into running classes in the beautiful suroundings of Hextable in the heritage centre. It's a lovely small cosy hall in the heart of the village with ample parking in a quiet close off the main road. It's been so poplular I am due to start a second Hextable class on a Monday 11am to Noon. If you live in the area with a baby or know someone who does please let them know. The first class is free and a great way to spend quality time with your baby and to meet other Mum's

The Sidcup class started on Tuesday 27 September and has been a success since day one with lots of Mum's and their babies not only from the immediate area but further afield coming along. The Pavilion is in such a nice setting, set off from the road surronded by greenery and a lovely garden to look out on it's makes it a peaceful place to run the classes. Parking is available on Burnt Oak Lane on the single yellow lines as there is no restrictions at that time which make is easy to park and walk down to the pavilion without worry.

The class is based on the same format as my Falconwood class with us massaging the babies for half of the class and then having a well deserved cup of tea or coffee and a good catch up and chat with the other Mum's.

'Playing with Sounds' workshops Print E-mail

It's started, I am excited to say. My workshops are underway at Falconwood Community Centre. Last week saw eight three and four year olds thoroughly enjoy the 'Rhythm and Rhyme' - let's listen session I put on. It consisted of listening games using my listening box full of various sounds, using the musical instruments and playing some listening games using bean bags and actions. The session was rounded off by the children making their own 'discovery bottles'. The children left happily shaking and moving their new instruments

Things have been busy for what is nearly the first half of the year gone. Baby massage has had a very busy start to the year with both classes being full to the brim. Lots of mum's and babies bonding and enjoying some quality one to one time together. Singing the various songs in the session is also a lovely way of Mum's communicating with their young babies aswell as an enjoyable activity to share together for years to come.

Sing and Story has seen us sharing lots of favorite songs each week

It has been a while since I last blogged, I have started another class since September as there was alot of Mum's wanting to bring their babie's along and my Thursday class was full. This has proved beneficial to parents who wish to switch days some weeks.

It was a lovely class today, we had a new baby join us who was just seven weeks old.  It is wonderful that babies are coming to the class a bit younger as the average age of joining was about ten weeks up until recently.
